HOAN KIEM LAKE
Located in the centre of Hanoi, Hoan Kiem Lake (Lake of the Returned Sword) is regarded as the heart of the city. Once a marshy lagoon, it owes its name and its fame to a powerful legend.
ONE PILLAR PAGODA
The One Pillar Pagoda was originally built by the Emperor Ly Thai Tong. Built of wood on a single stone pillar, the pagoda is designed to resemble a lotus blossom, the symbol of purity, rising out of a sea of sorrow.
